*Peeps, I’m happy to let you all know that as of today, Tuesday, 1-16-24, “Alien: Building Better Worlds” is now in general release! The physical book is totally finished as I have one right here next to me, early this time as I was a Kickstarter backer. I’ll take a minute or two here for a moment of inside baseball with how releases typically go at Free League Publishing. First, you have the Kickstarter, which for popular franchises like Alien & trusted (admired even) companies like Free League Publishing, it’s Kickstarters fully fund sometimes in just minutes. That makes you a “backer”. So assuming you contribute at a Kickstarter (KS) level that includes a physical copy, you’ll get it before anyone else as you made it possible (in part) for Free League to make the book in the first place. After all backer copies go out, then the pre-order (PO) copies go out (as generally with a pre-order, you’re ordering many times before a physical book even exists & so you’re telegraphing your trust to Free League). After all KS and PO copies go out, then review copies go out (which helps people struggling indie media people like me who can’t normally afford to be a KS backer get a physical copy - I am getting older and even with anti-blue light apps and glasses, it's MUCH easier for me to read long passages from a physical copy) because publicity, hype & excitement are important, valuable states to build on for what comes last (like today), the General Release (GR), the day that (if one extended up to it) all “Review Embargoes” as we call them end & also the day that your Friendly Local Gaming Store (FLGS) can put out the book for sale, larger chain stores can set up their elaborate displays, etc. But even if you wait until the GR, with Free League Publishing, you don’t loose anything. What do I mean? Well, for one thing, as long as you buy your copy of a FLP #TTRPG from the KS or The Official Free League Web Store, you’ll get a digital/PDF copy of your title to enjoy right away! And not just for PO like some companies! Today is the (GR) of “Alien: Building Better Worlds”. If you buy your copy TODAY, you get your digital copy at no extra cost TODAY. If you order tomorrow, you get it TOMORROW, at NO EXTRA CHARGE! It’s a very generous (and very wise, IMHO) policy by FLP, powered by fans LIKE YOU! And there’s a lot of great stuff in this book, I can tell you! This book runs to nearly 300 pages, hard-backed, in full-color, and can be had, as of the time I write this (price conversions between currencies fluctuate) can be had there for under $50 (+ taxes where & to whom applicable), and you’ll get a digital copy sent to you TODAY while you wait for your physical copy to arrive!

*“Drat & Cat Suggest” will be doing a full review of this title that we hope to have completed by the end of this month (we’re juggling a lot right now as y’all may know, and still touching up “The Dunwich Horror” review based on some sound & helpful comments by early readers, advice we are very grateful for). Free League is equally appreciative of comments & criticism, but please gang, keep it constructive & keep it kind for no content creator, big or small, deserves any less than that. We’ll be posting some of the amazing art & maybe some text quotes from the book here for the purposes of preview to those who’ve not yet decided to purchase the book, with the full review coming as soon as we can get it here. Clicking any of the images will take you to the The Free League Official Web Store where you can purchase a copy/copies of “Alien: Building Better Worlds”!

*PS- Many abbreviations I’ve used are my own (though many probable used them before I), feel free to create & use your own!
